Swab Samples: SARS-CoV-2 testing on surfaces, consumer goods and medical devices

In a new study, researchers have found that the SARS-CoV-2 virus is very robust on smooth surfaces. Even after 28 days (at 20°C), active viruses were still detectable on surfaces such as glass of cell phone screens and plastic banknotes. Even if the transmission or infection with SARS-CoV-2 viruses occurs via air (aerosols) and especially via droplets, further spread of the viruses via surfaces is possible. 

Many people and companies would like to have more security and information about how widespread the novel coronavirus is in their environment and what the potential for infection is.
Correctly conducted environmental investigations contribute to a better overview of the spread of the virus in our environment. We provide you with suitable swabs for this purpose.

The sampling kits will be shipped by Tentamus laboratory BAV INSTITUT Hygiene und Qualitätssicherung GmbH, based in Offenburg (Germany). The samples are also analysed and evaluated for SARS-CoV-2 by the BAV Institut. 
 
With the help of the set and the included instructions you can carry out the sampling and return the samples in a transport medium uncooled to the Tentamus laboratory BAV Institut in Offenburg. You will receive your results within 3 days after receipt of the samples!
